'Life Is Strange' Movie Dream Cast: These Actors Would Be Perfect For An Adaptation Of Dontnod's Acclaimed Video Game

In Case It Ever Happens, Our 'Life Is Stange' Film/TV Adaptation Dream Casting List

There is little doubt that Life Is Strange, the five-part episodic game from Dontnod, borrows heavily from the world of independent film and television. The whole thing has a David Lynch 'Twin Peaks' meets 'My So Called Life' vibe, featuring bizarre supernatural events mixed in amongst the everyday teenage drama.

While Claire Danes is the obvious template for the main heroine Max Caulfield, even she could not convincingly pull off a teenager these days. She's tied up with Homeland, anyways. But that got us wondering who we would cast if they ever decided to turn Life Is Strange into a limited run 'event series' on a mid-market cable channel, or perhaps an ambitious movie (do we still go to the movies?)

Life Is Strange Episode two 'Out of Time' dropped this past Tuesday, but for the purposes of this list, we'll focus on the first episode 'Chrysalis'.

Let the dream casting begin!

Max Caulfield - Molly Quinn, whom you might know from her turn as Nathan Fillion's daughter in Castle. Quinn can play awkward but smart effectively and does that wide-eyed, but ever watchful look like none other.

Chloe Price - Phoebe Tonkin, best known for her turn as Hayley in The CW's The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off, The Originals, Chloe's natural beauty needs to be hidden behind a tough attitude and dyed hair. Ms. Tonkin possesses that 'take no crap' look that is required for the role, but with enough chops to open the walls when necessary.

Victoria Chase - Kiernan Shipka, perhaps one of the youngest actors on this list, she may be one of the best known for her role as Sally Draper on Mad Men. She played lost and confused, but make no mistake, she'll be on the lookout for a role completely the opposite of Sally and Victoria's crass and terrible attitude could be just the thing.

Kate Marsh - Quinn Shephard, the little known actress made an impressive turn as new operative Claire in the CBS' drama Person of Interest (a show you really, really, really need to be watching). Though she may forever be a supporting actress, her focused obsession on POI could translate well to the religious zealotry Kate requires.

As for the central men we were introduced to...

Warren Graham - Dylan O'Brien, better known to fans as Stiles from MTV's shockingly good Teen Wolf series, or the main guy from The Maze Runner. He's handsome, he's charming and he can play the goofy, bumbling but creative and sensitive friend like the best of them. Just a regular dude.

Finally, the ultimate dream casting for Arcadia Bay's resident rich jerk Nathan Prescott should go to Miles Teller. Would it happen? No, of course not, but Teller has made a career playing arrogant SOBs. He just has the face of some spawn of a 1%er, the kind of face and personality that can get out of anything.

So that's our list. Who would you want in the 10 episode, one season ONLY Life Is Strange television show, or movie?
