There was once a time before Humble Bundle. It was a dark period in the world; an age when you had to buy one game at a time and you couldn't even set your own price. We survived, but I sometimes wonder how.

This week's selection of bundles is terrific, whether you're a desktop or mobile gamer. If you're sporting an Android device, Humble Bundle has some excellent selections for you. Players who chip in the bare minimum can get Bounden, Auro and Avernum: Escape from the Pit. Not too shabby, especially if you're into actual dancing - Bounden is a sort of dance instructor title, while the other two will test out your strategic thinking in a fantasy (and/or horror) environment.
But the real value is in what you get when you pay $4.15 (currently) or more:

First, 80 Days is one of the richest and satisfying modern storytelling games you can find on any system. I don't think there's an NPC that doesn't come equipped with some elaborate backstory as you navigate around the world in this excellent take on Jules Verne's classic adventure.
Riddick: The Merc Files - because you can never, ever have too much Vin Diesel. The Riddick games have consistently been some of the best film/tv tie ins to date and it's still a long way until the next Metal Gear game to fulfill our stealth and/or action desire.
But the jewel in the crown, thus far at least, is Kingdom Rush: Origins - Premium, (review) one of the best tower defense games you can find on any mobile device. Strike that, any device. The game is easy to learn but ramps up appropriately, the units are all fabulous and it is filled with that trademark humor that made the previous two entries such a wonderful success. The premium edition comes with all current heroes unlocked and features no IAP.
