Clash Of Clans Base Design Strategy: The Best Efforts Against High Level Layouts [VIDEO]

A Tough As Nails Clash Of Clans Base Design Is Put To The Test In This Attack Video

We all have those base layouts in our various F2P strategy titles that we just won't go near. No matter how tempting the reward, be it trophies, gold or whatever your particular poison may be, it will all end in tears, especially in Clash of Clans.

Galadon of Clash of Clans Attacks has his own version of kryptonite: the moat box set up (best name I can think of) in which the Town Hall is at the center with the Clan Castle off to the side, guarded by Xbows; all of this is surrounded by walls (to keep the riffraff out) and immediately outside of that is pretty much the entire battery of defensive buildings. These in turn are also surrounded by four pockets, or boxes, on each of the edges of the square.

This is great for defense, but really lousy for attacking and relies on an overwhelming force, the hope that the defending Clan Castle is, in fact, not completely full; and no small amount of timing and luck.

In short, it's one hell of a challenge. And Galadon is having none of it. But, in the interest of science, he tries. Oh how he tries. He even manages a victory or two, but it's a perfect example of 'it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning.' Few games in Clash of Clans are three star masterpieces and against this base design, even getting two stars is a hard fought affair that often comes down to the last second - a brutal firefight between Queens and Xbows.

Even if you cannot appreciate the finer points - the spell timing, the unit placement - there is some strategy to be in awe of. Add Galadon's commentary and you have a good idea of what to do, what not to do and more importantly, a really awesome base design for when you're in the higher town hall levels.

Enjoy.
