Microsoft Releases Genius Plan To Stop Apple TV From Dethroning Xbox One

Apple will be having their event tomorrow which will showcase not only their upcoming iPhones but their latest Apple TV as well. The Apple TV, aside from its improved specs and features, was also touted to compete in the gaming industry, more particularly with Xbox and Sony.

While Sony is mum on the Apple TV threat, Microsoft is not taking the Cupertino-based giant lightly. That being said, Microsoft has a cunning plan to counter the Apple threat by releasing a Windows 10 as a downloadable update to all the Xbox One sold across the universe.

The plan is so cunning, which will not only kill the Apple TV's gaming capability, but the update will also allow the Xbox One users to cross play their games from PC to the game console and vice versa. Although, not all Xbox One games can be played in the PC and likewise, the plan will work as it is, due to Apple TV's limited game title selection.

In addition, the Xbox One, if updated with the Windows 10 operating system, will no longer be a simple game console but practically a personal computer in the living room. The improvement might not be felt at first but Microsoft has a bigger plan in the future such as the addition of the Windows Store, that will allow the game console to get casual, smartphone platform games, which is similar to what the Apple TV will offer.

This Microsoft venture is very feasible in making the simple living room game console into something bigger, which will eventually allow gamers and players to use their Xbox One consoles as a personal computer and a gaming console at the same time. The plan might be ambitious, but very feasible.

The new Apple TV will rock a new motion sensor controller, similar to the Nintendo Wii controllers, which will allow owners to play fruit ninja or angry birds in it, through their independent Apple TV App Store.
