Community-Made Maps Featured In “Halo 5: Guardians” Multiplayer Update

"Halo 4" wasn't exactly the best multiplayer game; it was lacking in depth and was repetitive as many would say. However, 343 Industries bounced back with an amazing multiplayer experience via "Halo 5." Not only does "Halo 5: Guardians" add some very notable changes to the gameplay, but also the multiplayer modes are by far the best in the whole series. Sure, the single-player story could have been better, but the multiplayer modes are more than enough to keep fans playing.

The first set of community-made maps was added into the "Halo 5: Guardians" multiplayer playlists last week. The first batch of 10 went live on Friday, starting a trend of fan-made maps in the game. The introduction of these maps begins with the Breakout playlist, and in the coming week, gamers can vote on the map of their choice. Those who make it on top of the voting list will be joining the permanent Breakout playlist this coming February.

The latest "Halo 5" update also includes standard maps, armor and cosmetic add-ons. Infinity's Armory will feature a few notable weapons back into Halo multiplayer--this includes what fans have been requesting since the days of "Halo 3." The new maps, which include Riptide, which is composed of vertical catwalks and narrow bridges, and Urban, which is made up of a central base surrounded by sniping areas, will be joining this update as well.

343 Industries is constantly thinking of ways to update the game, and the addition of the new maps will be something fresh to look out. But the new modes and community-created maps are just icing on the cake. Just as the game was launched, the developer has confirmed that all downloadable content of "Halo 5" would be free of charge. The first two updates were a huge hit among fans of the game, and now the 2016 update is even more awesome!
