Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Split: 'Twilight' Stars 'Overjoyed' To See Each Other At 2016 Met Gala

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson survived a very public split, but they have yet to survive rumors that link them to each other after years of calling it quits.  The former "Twilight" co-stars have been a favorite topic online, mostly since die hard RobSten fans are still getting their hopes up for a reconciliation.

Just recently, the former flames had a run-in at the 2016 Met Gala.  And while Rob has fiance FKA Twigs in his arms, reports claimed that this didn't stop him from saying hello and giving KStew a hug, Extra reported.

"[Kristen] was just overjoyed to see Rob," an insider claimed. "They both were happy to see each other. It had been such a long time."

Kristen and Rob gave each other a big hug," the source continued. "Rob and Kristen were genuinely happy to see each other."

Apart from seeing her ex on the red carpet, Kristen also had an awkward encounter with Liberty Ross.  As the public will remember, Kristen cheated on Rob with her "Snow White" director Rupert Sanders, who was then married to Liberty. After the affair became public, Rupert and Liberty's 11-year marriage ended in divorce.

It would seem that all is well between the two since Liberty has already moved on.  She is now married to successful music executive and producer Jimmy Iovine.  KStew on the other hand, is also happy with her life now that reports are claiming that she and French singer SoKo are officially an item. The couple were seen holding hands while enjoying a romantic stroll in New York City just recently, Just Jared reported.

Do you think Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's split did the both of them good? Do you think RPats and KStew were reall happy to see each other at the 2016 Met Gala? Sound off below!
