'Homefront: The Revolution' News, Review & Update: Fans Not Happy With The Game?

"Homefront: The Revolution" was just released but some gamers were lucky enough to get their hands on the "Homefront: The Revolution" game before it was launched. Selected gamers were given the chance to play the highly-anticipated game using a pre-release Steam code provided by Deep Silver.

"Homefront: The Revolution" launched on May 17 for PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as reported by Tech First Post. Unfortunately, Homefront: The Revolution has more negative feedbacks than positive and it left gamers disappointed.

Sceen Rant reports that the premise of "Homefront: The Revolution" is that the United Stated is on the North Korean occupation. After sinking into debt, the tiny nation was able to install its own government and spread its propaganda. No facet of American life has been left untouched by North Korea. It's an interesting setup but "Homefront: The Revolution" is let down by almost everything else.

The site also shared a couple of unsatisfactory reviews with unimpressive scores given by known gaming websites and gamers. Being 10 as the highest, Jim Sterling of The Jimquisition scored "Homefront: The Revolution" a shocking 1, stating that he was, "“Forced to only imagine this game running at its best, I still see nothing but a pedestrian, corny, badly designed game."

The highest score that "Homefront: The Revolution" got was from Rush Frushtick of Polygon, giving "Homefront: The Revolution" a 6. Although he mentioned that the game lacked excitement.

"The guns feel fine; the lone vehicle (a motorcycle) is easy to control," Frushtick said. "But there’s never a moment that feels like it’s reaching for something more than a check-the-boxes open-world shooter.”

Some of the gamers who already played "Homefront: The Revolution" have not given it a score just yet as their review is still in progress. "Homefront: The Revolution" is very flawed in a lot of ways but it could possibly be one of the most interesting games out there.
