Hillary Clinton on Donald Trump: 'He Could Bankrupt America'

Without a doubt, Hillary Clinton is determined to beat Donald Trump. In a Michigan address on Monday, she hit the Republican candidate on several points, one of which looks at the way he runs business.

Clinton warned the Detroit crowd, "He could bankrupt America like he's bankrupted his companies... Ask yourself: how could anybody lose money running a casino? Really."

More often, Clinton blasts Trump and his immigration proposals, NBC News notes. Monday's gathering is no exception, as she reiterated the value of family.

"What kind of country would we be if we let Donald Trump rip our families apart? We have to reject this wrong vision for America with a strong, clear voice," the Democratic candidate called.

As told by NBC News, Clinton cited meeting a young Latina whose parents are at risk of being deported. She vowed to do everything possible to protect the girl's parents.

Michigan is among the Rust Belt states eyed by Trump in the Republican column for the upcoming election, The New York Times writes. The outlet recalls the business mogul's victory in the state's Republican primary back in March. Clinton lost to Bernie Sanders in the Democratic counterpart.

In a recent polling average, Trump edged Clinton by 0.2 percentage points. The data came from RealClearPolitics (RCP), which took the average of national polls that pit both candidates against each other, The Guardian reports. While this marks the first time Trump is leading RPC, the outlet recalls two previous occasions when he came close: September and December 2015.

Trump also slammed Clinton on Monday through Twitter, in a post that links to a short clip which features the voices of Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey. As per Daily Mail, they are two of former president Bill Clinton's sexual-assault accusers. The Republican candidate asked, "Is Hillary really protecting women?"

Americans will elect the 45th president on Nov 8, 2016.
