'Avengers: Infinity War' Release Updates, Josh Brolin, AKA Thanos, Says Script Gave Him Goosebumps

The two-part “Avengers: Infinity War” is slated to begin production soon. Josh Brolin, who will play the intergalactic being Thanos in the two films, reportedly already knows the entire story.

Den of Geek wrote that “Avengers: Infinity Wars” is set to start filming soon and will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Brolin said that he sat at a table and listened to the story of the upcoming movie from start to finish.

During an interview with Moviefone, the actor shared that he received more publicity playing Thanos, although he has not done it yet, compared to the work that he has done in all his other movies. He said that his feeling while listening to the story of “Avengers: Infinity War” was quite the opposite of his experiences before.

He explained that, ultimately, it was his character against everybody. He continued that the path that Marvel chose to tell the story was fun and brilliant. He was personally blown away and had goose pimples about half of the time that he was listening. He teased that it will be a big story and he felt amazed that he was involved.

Josh Brolin is the son of actor James Brolin. He initially appeared as Thanos in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film in 2014, and then in the second Avengers film in 2015, although he was uncredited. Josh has appeared in numerous movie and shows and is set to appear next as Eddie Mannix in a new movie. Aside from “Avengers: Infinity War,” he is also working on four other film projects.

iDigital Times wrote that the musical score was the worst part of the last Avengers film. However, “Avengers: Infinity War” will showcase a new and proven composer who has previously worked on other Marvel movies. Alan Silvestri was recently confirmed to be added in the team. He also scored the first Avenger and Captain America movies in the past.

AVClub wrote that not much about the plot of “Avengers: Infinity War” has been revealed yet, but fans can rest assured that the one who gets to play the big baddie in the movie has already approved the script. Some fans expect that the storyline will be largely inspired by “The Infinity Gauntlet” comic by Jim Starlin and George Perez, where Thanos eventually becomes the supreme being of the whole universe.

The first part of the Avengers: Infinity War movie will launch on May 4, 2018. More updates and details are expected soon.
