Apps Hidden in the Edges: Windows 8 hides apps and OS controls along the edges make it accessible to touchscreens, mice, and hot keys.
Kills Icons: This new Microsoft OS kills icons that are static program identifiers, and gives the user an innovative and unique tile that will reveal content on screen without the user needing to go into the app world. This will have huge implications on how we use the computers.
Integrates Laptop and Desktop Effectively: Windows 8 unifies the operating system across devices making desktop computing portable. Windows 8 will be on Surface tablets, which might make it easy to connect the desktop peripherals and take it home and use it as a tablet.
