With the contracts of "The Big Bang Theory" lead actors, Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), and Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) coming to an end, it is highly speculated that "The Big Bang Theory" will be closing the curtains very soon.

So, is this the saving grace for "The Big Bang Theory" to be renewed for season 11?

'The Big Bang Theory': Show creator prefers having live audience while filming

In an interview with Variety, Chuck Lorre shared that having a live audience is a must to know if the storylines are funny enough for a large number of viewers.

Although with or without the live audience "The Big Bang Theory" is already a sure win for the fans, Chuck Lorre feels that it is important to get some output before putting the show on air.

"There's a terrific vulnerability when you're working in front of a live audience," "The Big Bang Theory" creator said. "There are no tricks involved. There's no editing or post-production magic. It's very vulnerable. And I would guess that vulnerability is part of the appeal. When it truly works, it's great."

Chuck Lorre noted that while it seems that "The Big Bang Theory" doesn't need any extra help when it comes to their script, the reaction of a live audience will be their basis to either change the script totally or just do a little tweaking.
