How Viable is the Confirmed Physical Media For Nintendo NX?

Have you been wondering about the fuss on the Nintendo NX? Will it be like the XBox One and PS4 with incredibly designed consoles? Or is it merely a system that boosts the current generation of the Nintendo platform? Well now, you can rest the conflicting ideas as Gamestop CEO Paul Raines confirmed that the Nintendo NX will have a physical media.

Featured on the Destructoid website is Raine's answer saying "I would say that the fact that there are rumors of that type just confirms for you that this is an important console for next year. It will have physical media, we will play a role in it, our pre-owned business will also play a role. So we're excited about that."

Although he did not give any specific details on the physical aspect of the NX, he suggested, however, that cartridges are easier to repack and refurbish. Gamestop, on the other hand, will have to wait for more information about the Nintendo NX, but for now, we can actually count on a physical media for the console.

Mike Mauler of Gamestop also said that, regardless whether the company decides to integrate the cartridge to the media, the pre-owned business is more than ready to accommodate the transition. Meanwhile, the Nintendo NX made an appearance at the recent E3 2016 event, through the announcement made by the company.

Unfortunately, no further details were given except for the NX to be available next year. Until then, we can only count of what people; who have personal access to Nintendo tell to the public.

If you're considering buying the console, despite its lack of information on how to get it or just mere information about how it works, you may want to know the Nintendo NX's release date which is on March 2017.
