Earlier this year CBS released a statement that all of its first-year shows will be given second-season offer. Obviously it didn't work out that way, but with "Supergirl" being renewed at The Cw, many "Limitless" fans were hoping that the show will have that same chance as well.
'Limitless' to be picked up by other outlets?
After the "Limitless" Season 1 concluded, fans were devastated after rumors swirled that "Limitless" has reached its limit at one season.
Despite the speculation, "Limitless" fans were given hope following reports that "Limitless" was being shopped to other outlets to continue the TV show based on the feature film of the same name.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, two of the outlets that were chosen to hopefully pick up "Limitless" were Netflix and Amazon.
Unfortunately, Netflix and Amazon didn't see enough potential from "Limitless" for it to be proceeded to season 2.
'Limitless' Season 2 not happening?
After months of speculations regarding the fate of "Limitless" Season 2, it is now officially confirmed that "Limitless" has reached the end of the line.
"Limitless" showrunner Craig Sweeny took to Twitter to deliver the sad news to all who were hoping for a "Limitless" Season 2.
"I'm truly sad to report that #Limitless will not continue on any platform. Thanks so much to everyone who watched," the "Limitless" showrunner wrote.

It's the end of the road for "Limitless"
Even before the rumors that "Limitless" was being shopped around for a new home, it was already obvious that there will be no "Limitless" Season 2.
Cinema Blend reports that when CBS revealed its fall schedule, "Limitless" was nowhere to be found.
It seems that the CBS fall schedule already gave "Limitless" fans the heads up to not expect a season 2 from the show.
