Martin Scorsese has begun production for his new film, "The Wolf of Wall Street" that stars three-time Academy Awards nominee Leonardo DiCaprio. New pictures of the DiCaprio have emerged from the set of the movie. The actor looks suave and perfect like a 90s business man.
The film is based on the memoir "The Wolf of Wall Street" by Jordan Belfort. Cast members of the movie include Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Rob Reiner, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jon Favreau, and Matthew McConaughey.
It's been just a few weeks before they started filming, reports Screen Rant.
DiCaprio plays the role of Belfort who is a New York stockbroker, who refused to be a part of the corruption in the Wall Street, who did not cooperate in a huge securities fraud case. Belfort was known for partying and had his personal life mired by drug and alcohol addiction.
The photos show DiCaprio "hailing a cab and looking extremely concerned," said Screen Rant.
DiCaprio and Scorsese have teamed up for four films, and they will be back for their fifth with this movie. Scorsese an influential filmmaker, who has made iconic movies like "Taxi Driver," "Raging Bull," "Goodfellas," "The Color of Money," "The Departed," and "Hugo," is a cinematic master.
The Huffington Post reported that DiCaprio and Hill were found researching at The Bank of America for their roles in the movie.
Scorsese, who's been a strong advocate for using film to shoot movies rather than digital, has officially said goodbye to the traditional method with his new movie.
"It would appear that we've lost the battle. I think Marty just feels it's unfortunately over, and there's been no bigger champion of film than him," said his long time editor Thelma Schoonmaker, told Empire.
"The Wolf of Wall Street" will be released in 2013.
