Country singer-turned-pop artist Taylor Swift is making headlines as she and her new beau, "Thor" star Tom Hiddleston enjoys a romantic getaway in Rome as part of their Europe tour. On Monday, the couple visited some of the most popular sights in the Italian capital including the Colosseum, Chron reported.
Even though they were accompanied by body guards during their tour, many were still able to get photos of the singer and the actor sweetly strolling hand-in-hand and shared it over social media platforms. These images immediately pushed the news about their romantic vacation into one of the top trending topics around the world. According to the outlet, 26-year-old singer met Hiddleston's mother, Diana, on Friday in the United Kingdom. Several reports also revealed that Diana Hiddleston was happy to meet the young artist.
What is more interesting is that Swift admitted to some of her friends that she may already be "in love" with the British actor as reported by E! News. This is quite a dramatic twist to their love story considering that many did not approve of the rapid pace of their relationship.
"He also makes sure she feels safe wherever they go together. She is on cloud nine and really enjoying this quality time they are spending," the insider source told E! News. The source further added the songstress even texted her friends: "I think I am in love and I never felt this way before!"
Another insider said that both of them are "smitten" about each other, declaring that the couple looks completely in love. The photos posted over social media also reveal as much with one showing Hiddleston kissing Swift's hand and another showing them holding hands while walking along the streets of Rome.

Another insider also revealed that the couple took a private helicopter to witness the beauty of Rome from above. Some added that the trip was spontaneous, something the 26-year-old singer may have wanted all along.
