Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Released: Features Bigger Screen, Advanced Stylus

The much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is out.

Samsung unveiled the latest phablet in Berlin on the sidelines of IFC 2012. Google has not heeded to analysts' complaints of 5.3-inch HD screen being big but has instead listened to customers' purchasing power, informs BYTE. The new phablet is BIG.

Galaxy Note 2 is packed with the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and Samsung's TouchWiz Nature UX.

The big screen of 5.5 inches stands out with a resolution of 1280x720p and 16:9 aspect ratio. The device is ALL screen and has Super AMOLED panel. It's powered by an upgraded 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos CPU processor. It will also offer 2GB RAM.

Galaxy note will have an 8MP camera in the rear and 1.9MP camera in front, that can be used for video chatting. It has a massive battery with a whopping capacity of 3.100mAh. The previous model had a 2,500 mAh battery.

The new device will be released in three different storage configurations - 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models. It will also have a microSD card slot. Samsung's stylus, S-Pen comes in a redesigned avatar, taller and thicker with a rubber tip. It has new features like Air View.

The apps are multitasking, like the Pop-up Note app that "will run as a pop-up resizable window over other applications," reported BYTE.

The device supports both HSPA+ 21 and 4G LTE. It has a solid metal back plate a change from the plastic rear. It will be released in two colors blue and white. When it comes to appearance it looks like a giant S3.

The U.S. release date is not yet made known but will be available later in the year. But for Europe, Asia, and Middle East October the release date is likely to be this month.
