Earlier this year CBS released a statement that all of its first-year shows will be given second-season offer. Obviously it didn't work out that way, but with "Supergirl" being renewed at The CW, many "Limitless" fans were hoping that the show will have that same chance as well.
'Limitless' Season 2 to be shown in Netflix?
Despite the the news that "Limitless has already reached its limit at one season, "Limitless" fans were given hope following reports that "Limitless" Season 2 was being shopped to other outlets to continue the TV show.
The two major outlets that were being considered to pick up "Limitless" Season 2 were Netflix and Amazon.
Unfortunately, even with a good cast and an already established title, "Limitless" was not picked up by Netflix and Amazon for "Limitless" season 2.
'Limitless' Season 1 will stream on Netflix
Even though Netflix didn't pick "Limitless" Season 2 up, the outlet will be streaming "Limitless" Season 1.

Does this mean that Netflix is testing the waters if "Limitless" Season 2 is worth a try if "Limitless" Season 1 will have outstanding ratings?
With the show being based on the feature film of the same name, meaning "Limitless" already has a stable fanbase, many "Limitless" fans were hoping that "Limitless" Season 2 will still be possible even if it was already dropped by CBS.
It's the end of the road for "Limitless"
Even before the rumors that "Limitless" was being shopped around for a new home, it was already obvious that there will be no "Limitless" Season 2.
Cinema Blend reports that when CBS revealed its fall schedule, "Limitless" was nowhere to be found.
It seems that the CBS fall schedule already gave "Limitless" fans the heads up to not expect a season 2 from the show.
But for "Limitless" Season 1 being streamed on Netflix, this gives hope to fans that the outlet will finally pick up "Limitless" season 2.
