“Gears for War 4” is set for an October release but fans don’t have to wait that long to find out what Microsoft Studios has in store for the third-person shooting game.

“Gears of War 4” will be among the focus this July 21 at the San Diego Comic Con. The panel of “Gears of War 4: Creators, Characters and Cast” will offer a behind-the-scenes look as well as special announcements and more. Larry Hyrb (“Major Nelson”) will act as moderator for the panel.

Super Secret Gears of War 4

Hyrb and director Rod Fergusson met last week in what was reportedly a meeting to discuss the “super secret Gears of War 4”. With both Fergusson and Hyrb at the panel on July 21, it will be interesting to see if that meeting had any ties with the upcoming event.

Xbox One S “Gears of War 4” Limited Edition happening?

With the impending coming of “Gears of War 4” in October, it will be interesting if Microsoft will have any special game console tied up to the game.

Word of such comes from Gaming Bolt who singled out how an Xbox One S console in the style of the “Gears of War 4” Elite Controller was announced at E3. If so, such opens the possibility of seeing a “Gears of War 4” themed Xbox One S console as batted by Microsoft insider Ekim.

All set for October release

“Gears of War 4” is set to launch on Oct. 7 for the Xbox One and the PC. Gamers will be in for a treat since buying the digital copy for one platform will include a free copy for the other. So if a buyer buys the Xbox One version, he also gets the PC platform version too.

Further, folks who end up buying the “Gears of War 4” (digital or retail) can get all previous versions for free. The offer is good for 2016 only, Game Spot reported.
