While it's risky to adapt a game into a live-action film, fans have seen the great potential especially with the success of "World of Warcraft" internationally. Next in line is the "Assassin's Creed" and as early as now, Ubisoft is addressing box office expectations.

'Assassin Creed' Film, A Marketing Strategy

Alain Corre, head of Ubisoft's European division, sat down with MCV recently and revealed that "Assassin's Creed" is not set to make a box office hit. He said that making movies is part of Ubisoft's marketing strategy, creating more awareness for the game itself.

"We are not going to earn a lot of money from it," Allain Corre said of "Assassin's Creed." "It is a lot more a marketing thing, it is also good for the image of the brand. Although we will make some money, it is not the purpose of this movie."

While Ubisoft admitted that they have an established core fans, it would still be good to get the "Assassin's Creed" in the front. With this extraordinary strategy, Ubisoft hopes to pique the curiosity of others and let them experience the game itself.

'Assassin's Creed' Top Quality Entertainment

However, Ubisoft emphasized that their main objective is to create top quality entertainment and experiences. In "Assassin's Creed" case, Ubisoft worked diligently with New Regency and 2oth Century Fox to make assure quality film to its fans.

Top it with the talented cast and production team, Ubisoft believes that the "Assassin's Creed" brand will both appeal to its fans and any regular moviegoer.

"Assassin's Creed" stars Oscar-nominee Michael Fassbender from "X-Men: Apocalypse" and Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard from "The Dark Knight Rises."

"Assassin's Creed" follows the story of Callum Lynch (Fassbender) as he discovers his ancient roots to belong to a secret assassin group. He then takes his incredible skills and knowledge to defeat the Knights Templars
