The "Steven Universe" Season 3 installment entitled "Steven Universe: Summer Adventures" has been confirmed to return to Cartoon Network on July 18. The series is set to air new episodes on weeknights, for four weeks straight.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the animated series will present 20 new episodes in all, and "Steven Universe" Season 3 is expected to run until August 12. Now, with almost a week left before the telecast, various spoilers have been surfacing online.
One of the most notable information revealed on the web was the upcoming appearance of another character named Bismuth. It was said that this new crystal gem is going to be voiced by well-loved actress, Uzo Aduba, of Netflix's "Orange is the New Black."
Fans of "Steven Universe" will get to see the new character sometime in August. A 22-minute special episode entitled "Bismuth" will allow viewers to learn more about her and her friendship with other gems.
Based on the teaser, Bismuth is a muscular blue gem with multicolored hair. The plot also suggests that more than 5,000 years ago, Bismuth also fought with other crystal gems, in an operation to save the Earth.
For the July 19 episode, the trailer shows that it was titled "Mr. Greg." It appears that it will be a musical that will feature Steven, Greg and Pearl. The three indulged in luxury as they checked in a hotel. However, with Pearl's changing mood, the fun may be short-lived, so what happens next is yet to be seen when the show premieres.
