‘Jane the Virgin’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Michael's Death, Jane Loses Her Virginity And More!

As "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 is slated to air back on TV soon, fans are curious to find out if the titular character, played by Gina Rodriguez, will finally lose her virginity and if her freshly wedded husband Michael (Brett Dier) will survive his fatal shot during the season finale.

The fate of Michael will soon be revealed in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3, and fans will find out the consequences and aftermath of Michael being shot. Furthermore, it is believed that the first episode will immediately tackle the topic of Michael's accident.

During "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 finale episode, fans were shocked as Susanna (who turned out to be Rose, who was believed to be dead) shot Michael just right outside of his room with Jane. Simultaneously, the snowglobe he gave to Jane shattered on the floor as Jane accidentally shoved it while getting ready to supposedly "lose it" to Michael.

Dier shared in an interview that though he was saddened by the fact that his character was shot in the finale, he calms worried fans by saying that he is still definitely part of "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 cast. However, this doesn't guarantee that Michael will be back in full normal condition, nor does it guarantee that Jane will lose her virginity to him. After all, "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 finale revealed that Rafael (Justin Baldoni) is still in love with Jane, and it is not far from impossible that Rafael takes advantage of this situation for the sake of his feelings for Jane.

Meanwhile, in an interview with ET Online, executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman assures fans that Jane will lose her virginity in "Jane the Virgin" Season 3. This will result to a slight TV show title change, according to Parent Herald. In the title card, the words "the virgin" will be crossed off, leaving the show with the title "Jane." Urman describes Jane's deflowering as a "small cornerstone in our heroine's evolution," which leaves plenty of room to speculate what is to come for the titular main character.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will be aired on Monday, Oct. 17 only on The CW.
