‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Air Date, Spoilers & Updates: Cersei, Daenerys Battle For Iron Throne?; Daenerys’ Massive Armada vs Cersei’s Strategy - Who Will Win?

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 managed to bring together everything fans love about the show in its epic season finale. Still reeling from the events in the penultimate "Battle of the Bastards" episodes, fans saw key players gearing up for the ultimate quest - conquering the Iron Throne.

Before fans could say "Let the games begin!" for the show's seventh outing, it was reported that the release of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 would be delayed, deviating from its usual March-April premiere. But rest assured, it's nothing to worry about.

Creators Dan Weiss and David Benioff announced that filming for "Game of Thrones" Season 7 has been pushed back due to weather concerns. In consonance with the "Winter is here" premise, having some sun while filming "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will contradict where the show is heading.

"So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot," E! News quoted the showrunners as saying.

As fans patiently await updates on production developments, they are keeping themselves pre-occupied with a plethora of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 spoilers and predictions, particularly as to who will clash for the Iron Throne and who will ally with one another.

Former Queen Regent Cersei Lannister assumed the Iron Throne following Tommen's shocking suicide in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 finale. The Lannister matriarch is the incumbent "Queen of the Seven Kingdoms," but perhaps not for long.

Meanwhile, Daenerys Targaryen, together with her army of Dothrakis and the Unsullied, is on her way to Westeros. Also joining her crew is Yara and Theon Greyjoy and their men, as well as Tyrion Lannister, whom Daenerys proclaimed as her Hand. Of course, Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion are also tagging along.

It is likely that Daenerys and Cersei will be the first to battle it out in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Having these two powerful women fight for the throne is a dream come true to many fans, and will definitely one of the highlights of the show's history.

Daenerys may be backed by a massive armada, but Cersei is a good strategist and incredibly calculating. Who knows what trick the latter may have on her sleeves, especially now that she has nothing left to lose, as she may also be on her way to becoming the next mad ruler.

"While Cersei has certainly done a lot of horrible things in her life and she could be a very cruel person, the one thing that was redemptive about her was that she genuinely loved her children. Now they're all gone, and I think that is very interesting for us. Who is she without her children? The answer is something you'll find out next season," Weiss told Deadline.

Which female power player will remain standing in "Game of Thrones" Season 7?
