‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: HBO Confirms Summer Comeback With 7 Episodes, Will Sansa Stark Betry Jon Snow?

The filming for "Game of Thrones" season 7 has been delayed and HBO confirmed that their hit TV series will return this summer with seven episodes. However, there are clamours among the fans about Sansa Stark betraying Jon Snow.

'Game Of Thrones' Returns Summer 2017

Entertainment Weekly confirmed that HBO officially announced that "Game of Thrones" season 7 will return summer of next year instead of its usual spring debut. Executive producer David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will start production a little later than usual since the winter has finally arrived in "Game of Thrones" universe.

According to Casey Bloys, president of HBO Programming said that "Game of Thrones" season 7 will debut in summer instead of its usual April to accommodate the shooting schedule.

More so, HBO added that "Game of Thrones" season 7 will have different shooting locations that will include Spain, Northern Ireland and Iceland.

It has been years since "Game of Thrones" was shot in Iceland, where it was primarily used for Jon Snow's scenes in the North of the Wall.

Benioff and Weiss told the UFC Unfiltered podcast that they wanted to get the winter feeling even in places where it's a lot sunnier. "Game of Thrones" usually starts production around July. Now, the team needs to wait until the summer is over to start filming for "Game of Thrones" season 7.

Sansa Stark To Betray Jon Snow In Season 7?

Meanwhile, there are speculations that Sansa may betray Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones" season 7.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Littlefinger may manipulate Sansa into thinking that Jon Snow doesn't deserve to rule the North. In "Game of Thrones" season 7, fans are thinking that Littlefinger may make Sansa feel that she has been denied the credit of winning the war.

These feelings of deprivation may dominate Sansa and she could betray Jon Snow by joining forces with Littlefinger in "Game of Thrones" season 7.

Now that Jon Snow has been established as a Targaryen, there were also speculations that he may join Danaerys to take on the Iron Throne. The most bizarre perhaps is Jon Snow marrying Danaerys in the end.

While "Game of Thrones" is not alien to the bizarre and the unexpected, fans will just have to wait until summer of 2017 to know what would really happen to the Iron Throne.
