Bond girls have been an integral part of the Bond movies since "Dr. No." A classic example is the scene where Ursula Andress comes out of the sea holding conch shells. A video blog featuring the Bond girls from the 23rd instalment of the James Bond movie, "Skyfall," was released Thursday.
The new video features modern-day Bond girls Naomie Harris, of "28 Days Later" fame, and Berenice Marlohe.
Harris plays the role of Eve, a field agent. She is seen driving and shooting in the video. The video features a separate interview with Daniel Craig and the two Bond girls.
"I don't think it's enough to just look pretty anymore," Harris said. "That may well have been true in the past, but certainly not now. Eve thinks she is Bond's equal."
Marlohe plays the role of the femme fatale Severine. She is employed by Silva, the bad guy, played by Javier Bardem.
"The first time you see her, she has a dark side," Marlohe said.
The Bond movie franchise is known for its jaw-dropping action, sophisticated gadgets and sex appeal.
"Both of them have bought totally individual characters to their parts, and for me on the set it's just been a joy to play with these people," Daniel Craig told the Metro.
Meanwhile, if you thought Bond always prefers vodka martini, shaken and not stirred, then you're wrong. A new action-packed ad featuring Craig and Bond girl Marlohe for Heineken is out. It features a Bond-like character who is seen to be running away from some thugs (watch video).
"Skyfall" is set to hit theaters Nov. 9.
