Soon Nordic Games will finally release the announced "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition." This remastered version of the game will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U on Oct. 25, 2016, as stated by Gamerant.
"Darksiders" is an action role-playing hack and slash video game that was developed by Vigil games and published by Nordic Games. The game takes its inspiration from the apocalypse, with the player taking the character of "War" that was one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
Even "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" doesn't have anything in the way of new gameplay experiences, veterans of the first game may still be tempted to pick it up due to its low price. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will be available for just $20.
According to Gamespresso, it is expected that the "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" will feature improvements such as better shadow rendering, doubling of all texture resolutions, and the game is expected to run at 1080p resolution as well as new post processing effects. The game will also run at 6o FPS on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, while the Wii U version will run at 30FPS.
KAIKO will be the developer of "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition," the group who was responsible for the Xbox One version of Darksiders 2. The game was originally launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 way back in 2010.
If "Darksiders 3" does eventually release, it will be interesting to see how close it sticks to the original vision. The former creative director of Vigil Games, Joe Madureira, shared with fans his studio's ideas for the third Darksiders, which included four-player co-op with all four horsemen that characters can be played, and a story seeing players battle Lucifer himself in Hell. Will it arrive after "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition"?
