WWE Rumors 2016: Finn Balor Ready To Be New Face Of The Company [POLL]

Former NXT champion Finn Balor debuted in style and wasted no time making his mark. The no. 1 draft pick by WWE Raw from NXT proved why he was the top star for the developmental circuit and in one night, he ends up vying for a newly minted major title.

Fast-forwarding Finn Balor

At WWE Raw last week, Balor survived a “Fatal Four-Way” match that had the best the brand had to offer. Then he went up against the troubled Roman Reigns to determine who would face Seth Rollins for the Universal title at WWE SummerSlam.

He used his agility and athleticism perfectly, pulling off a remarkable feat and booking himself for a shot at the title against “The Architect”.

Taking over from Reigns?

Balor had always been hyped as the future of the WWE though the framework for that has only started now. He will be up against Seth Rollins, someone he respects and knows will be a tough adversary.

With his triumph over Reigns, the WWE slowly replaced the guy they were trying to build with “The Demon”. There could be more to the story as we go along so it would be wise not to totally scratch Reigns completely.

Reigns not totally done yet?

Going back to Reigns, his star may not have totally disappeared. His familiar face of frustration was seen once more but everyone has probably heard of that celebrated heel turn.

He did mention he was supporting Balor so that he could get his shot again so the “Big Dog” could be up to something. He may act out the heel persona and meddle in the SummerSlam main event but the question now is who does he take aim?

Will it be Rollins or Balor? If Reigns targets Rollins, it could set up rematch between him and Balor. If “The Demon” is the one he messes around with, such may result in another new storyline with Reigns the obvious heel.

All that should shape up in the following weeks unless the WWE has alternative plans for Reigns.
