Rumors that Samsung might roll out a Galaxy S3 "Mini," at an event that will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, have gathered pace.
The South Korean company sent out press invites on Tuesday that said in German, "So big can be small. And so small can be big. Get ready for a little sensation," as reported by Christian Post. The company's S logo is on the background of the invite, similar to the marketing photo that was used at the S3 release.
The Galaxy Note 2 was unveiled at the IFA consumer trade show at Berlin. Samsung's Galaxy S III is a popular smartphone with an impressive screen and an open Android.
Ever since Apple launched the iPhone 5, Samsung has been waiting to take on its rival. The iPhone 5 has a more compact design and is easier to carry as compared to the bigger Galaxy S III. A Galaxy S3 "Mini" is rumored to be Samsung's answer to this.
With a screen resolution reported to be of 1280 X 720, the Galaxy S III makes movie watching a wonderful experience. The S3's bigger touch screen would be convenient for gamers as it's easier to handle.
According to a Mobile Tracker report from uSwitch, Samsung Galaxy leads in the UK, as compared to the iPhone 5.
Speculations are rife about the new Galaxy S3 Mini which might include a mid-range dual-core processor and a 4-inch 480 x 800 display that affirms the "little is big" advertisement.
It would be the gadget a lot of people would certainly love to have as it would easily fit in the pockets of skinny jeans and for those who have small hands, it would be the perfect smartphone.
What consumers will want is a small-bodied smartphone and not a mid-range spec sheet in the S3 Mini.
Let's hope Samsung will have something better to offer with the new smartphone.
