Boxing Rumors 2016: Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s Uncle Safe And Sound [VIDEO]

Roger Mayweather, the uncle and former trainer of retired boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr., has been finally found.

The 55-year-old former boxer was initially reported as missing by the Las Vegas police, last seen around 3 p.m. Saturday near the Mayweather Boxing Club. Roger Mayweather was suffering from medical issues but does not have any form of medication, per reports.

With his health in question, Mayweather’s whereabouts became a concern. The word around was that Roger wore a white shirt, blue sweatpants and white tennis shoes.

Found and now home resting

The latest update on Roger Mayweather is that he has already been found. He is now safe at home resting as bared by Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotion via USA Today.

Per the report, the elder Mayweather was found by authorities at round 10:30 a.m. Sunday unharmed by a family member. No further details were revealed on how he was found.

Roger Mayweather was the one behind Floyd Mayweather Jr. in recent years before he stepped aside due to health issues. He was eventually replaced by Floyd Mayweather Sr., Floyd Jr.’s father.

It remains to be seen if details will be released soon for the former boxer who is reportedly suffering from diabetes. No word as well on Floyd Mayweather Jr. regarding the recent return of his former trainer and uncle.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues to stay retired even as many continue to hope for a ring return. At the moment, the undefeated boxer continues to savor his retirement and focus on his promotional banner.

With Manny Pacquiao on the verge of a return, Mayweather is likely to get his two cents in as before. A rematch between the two has been erratic and the belief right now is that it may never happen.

The last on Mayweather was that tease of facing UFC flyweight champion Conor McGregor which many believe is nothing more than plain hype.
