Earlier this year, CBS released a statement that all of its first-year shows will be given second-season offer. Obviously, it didn't work out that way for "Limitless" Season 2. So what went wrong?
With "Supergirl" being renewed at The CW, many "Limitless" fans were hoping that the show will have that same chance as well and will proceed to "Limitless" Season 2. But, no. Television networks constantly rate their own shows to realize which shows deserved a chance and which ones should be booted out. Unfortunately, "Limitless" has reached its limit after CBS dropped it at one season.
After the confirmation of the cancellation of "Limitless," fans were given hope following reports that "Limitless" was being shopped to other outlets to continue the TV show based on the feature film of the same name. Two of the outlets that were chosen to hopefully pick "Limitless" up were Netflix and Amazon. Sadly, both outlets didn't see enough potential from the show to pick "Limitless" Season 2 up.
Hardcore fans of "Limitless" Season 2 took matter in their own hands and started an online petition for the renewal of "Limitless." One fan commented on a previous Game N Guide article, sharing how much he'd love to watch "Limitless" Season 2, "I LOVE this show and there is more than enough story for Season 2! Do the right thing and bring it on!" the "Limitless" Season 2 fan wrote.
