iPad Mini Rumors: More Leaked Photos Surface (Photos)

Leaked photos of the much-rumored iPad Mini have surfaced yet again. This time it comes from 9to5Mac researcher Sonny Dickson.

Dickson posted photos of what is said to be the iPad Mini and the new lightning dock connector on his Twitter and Instagram accounts Tuesday.

It's not yet clear if the images are fake or real, but they toe the line of previous leaked photos, CNET reported.

Anticipation over the iPad Mini has risen drastically, with rumors and leaked photos surfacing. It was earlier reported that Apple would be sending out media invites for the iPad Mini event on Oct. 10.

Apple's iPad Mini is the Cupertino-based company's answer to smaller and low-cost tablets like Amazon's Kindle Fire, Google's Nexus 7 and Barnes & Noble's Nook tablets.

The iPad Mini purportedly has a non-Retina 7.85-inch screen, 1024 x 768 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. While the lightening connector port is located on the bottom, the headphone jack is positioned on the top of the tablet. It may run on Apple's 32nm dual-core A5 processor and the pricing might be between the $199 Nexus 7 and $399 iPad 2, The Verge speculates.

The technology giant ordered the production of nearly 10 million units for this holiday season, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Apple has neither commented nor confirmed the rumors of its supposed smaller iPad device. Apple's new device would heat up an already competitive market in the low-cost tablet market.

The product is rumored to be launched Nov. 2.
