‘Fallout 4’ Latest News & Update: Patch 1.7 Features, Fixes Bared

Bethesda continues to roll out patches for “Fallout 4” with the latest one expected to bring more fixes and new features.

Patch 1.7 for “Fallout 4” is already out though it covers only the PC version. The PS4 and Xbox One version are expected to come out next though there is no official release date as of this writing, terming it only as “in the coming weeks”.

New Features of patch 1.7

The released patch notes should give “Fallout 4” gamers a glimpse of things to come. Here are some of the features that come with the patch include the following via Attack of the Fanboy: Support for Nuka-World, new store art-type for workshops and deleting add-ons without resorting to a full uninstall for the PS4.

Fixes for “Fallout 4”

The most important part of patch 1.7 for “Fallout 4” is expected to be plenty and the detailed bullets from the release notes prove just that. Among the issues that were reportedly addressed include general optimization and stability improvements, fixes to player animations and add-ons as well as some other in-game related transactions like trading instances and more.

Mod fixes were also included in the patch, covering various issues ranging from images to NPC change updates. Patch 1.7 for “Fallout 4” is also an important update to Season Pass holders, a welcome patch that follows a series of updates recently released by Bethesda. There were three “Fallout 4” update for the Xbox One, PS4 and the PC prior to the most recent one.

A look at the release notes sees an extensive list of improvements which hopefully make the game a whole lot better. The patch is expected to be identical across all gaming platforms and can be viewed in full here. There is an unfortunate casualty with patch 1.7 and this is the “Fallout 4” Script Extender. This has stopped working which means players may need to downgrade to 1.6.9. A step-by-step procedure can be found here.
