‘Pokemon GO’ News and Update: Niantic Promises New Patch to Make Catching Pokemon Easy Again; Battery Saver Mode is on the Way for iOS Users

"Pokémon GO" is undoubtedly the biggest mobile game in the world now, but this does not mean that the game would be bug-proof. Like most games out there, it will also experience glitches that can negatively affect the whole gameplay.

In fact, Niantic Labs is currently fixing the latest "Pokémon GO" bug that has been infuriating trainers the past days. The glitch made catching Pokemon much more difficult, plus the game seems to have stopped giving out XP bonus points to trainers after successful capture of a monster.

It was explained by Niantic that the increase in catch rate in "Pokemon GO" was the result of a bug which is affecting the Pokeball throw accuracy. According to The Guardian, there were also reports that regardless of the level of Pokemon creatures, they are able to escape more frequently from the Pokeball.

Through its social media account, Niantic asked "Pokemon GO" trainers to watch out for a new patch which they will be releasing soon. This should solve the mentioned issues and make the play enjoyable.

For iOS users, there is an additional flaw which they had to deal with when playing "Pokemon GO." Everyone will agree that the game can drain the device's battery at a fast rate, but players who have been using iPhone or iPad to play have the advantage of saving extra power because they have a battery-saver mode feature.

However, when the "Pokémon GO" 0.31.0 update was issued in late July, the battery-saving mode was deactivated on Apple mobile devices. As stated by Niantic, the feature was removed due to bugs but they promised to bring it back very soon. "We have been hearing the feedback loud and clear about the removal of the Battery Saver mode on iOS devices," Niantic wrote on its Facebook page.

The "Pokemon GO" game developer further said that because some users reported buggy gaming experience, they decided to take out the battery saver tool. But iOS users must not worry since Niantic is bringing it back in the coming days.
