Sam Mendes' "Skyfall" has received positive reactions from early reviewers. .
The movie will star Daniel Craig who reprises the role of James Bond, Judi Dench as M, Javier Bardem as the villain Raoul Silva, Helen McCrory, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Bérénice Marlohe and Naomie Harris.
Many reviewers called it the best Bond movie in its 50- year history of the franchise.
"Well, certainly a class act. I plan to see Skyfall a few more times before the year's out," the Daily Mail said, giving it five stars. "Nothing can beat a landmark, classic James Bond picture. They don't come around all that often."
"But Mendes get a lot more right than he gets wrong, and in the process has found a confident new identity for the franchise - not afraid of its past, but not chasing its competitors, or being scared of the future either," The Playlist said."It might take another viewing of each to see if it exceeds 'Casino Royale' as the best since the Connery days, but at the very least, it makes clear that, after the disappointment of 'Quantum Of Solace,' that Bond is back, and he's not going anywhere."
The Guardian praises Craig and Bardem, "Craig, as ever, makes for a splendidly authoritative Bond, even when he's suffering a crisis of faith and scowling at his reflection inside dirty mirrors. But he's matched beautifully by Bardem's playful, jubilant turn as the silken Raoul Silva, who sets out to turn 007 against M..." It gives the movie three stars.
British GQ magazine (@BritishGQ) tweeted: "Just seen #skyfall. Daniel Craig is magnificent - you will not be disappointed."
The Times film critic Kate Muir (@muirkate) tweeted that she gave "Skyfall" five stars, calling it "a return to classic form and a great British bulldog of a movie." She also tweeted, "In my haste to review, failed to mention that cinematographer Roger Deakins is a god."
BBC Radio 1's film critic Rhianna Dhillon (@BBCR1Rhianna) tweeted: "WOW! You have a massive treat in store for you! Don't want to review it on air in case I give anything away! It's just so good!"
The Telegraph compares the film with Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight."
"Mendes is unafraid to let the quieter dramatic moments breathe ... and ace cinematographer Roger Deakins makes the wildly ambitious action sequences the most beautiful in Bond's 50-year career," wrote Robert Collin in the British newspaper The Telegraph.
The movie will hit the theatres Nov. 9.
