'Sleepy Hollow' Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: New Characters Coming? Abbie's Character To Rise From The Dead?

Something magical really happens when a classic is infused in something modern, which is perhaps one of the secrets why the "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 is reportedly now in the works. The classic story of Ichabod Crane from the novel is brought to life infused with several plot twists as he finds himself in a totally new era.

"Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 is majorly adapted from the classic book written by Washington Irving. The adaptation of Fox's modern-day "Sleepy Hollow" takes some focal points from the classic story but also experiments with modern day twists. The part where Ichabod Crane wakes up from hundred years of sleep is also theorized to be taken up from another classic story, "Rip Van Winkle."

"Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 will have to find ways to still be a hit with the audience and stay afloat inspite of Abbie's death. Trying to create a new season sans one of the lead characters can be considered as a very big risk and surely an elephant in the room when the cast and producers meet.

However, the producers of "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 are brave enough to take a risk and give the favorite supernatural TV show a 360 degree makeover.  Of course, new transformations come with new characters. The new characters will surely bring a lot of new plot twists and storylines that would take "Sleepy Hollow" to a whole new level.

As mentioned earlier, "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 premiering with a new set of characters is acknowledged to be a big risk but the producers are confident that the fans of the series will continue their undying support especially since the writers are brewing up new plot and more exciting plot twists than the previous seasons.  "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 is set to air on the first quarter of 2017.
