The adaptation of Fox's modern-day "Sleepy Hollow" takes some focal points from the classic story but also experiments with modern day twists. The part where Ichabod Crane wakes up from hundred years of sleep is also theorized to be taken up from another classic story, "Rip Van Winkle."
