Jelly Bean Update Delayed to 2013 for U.S. Samsung Galaxy S3 Users

Samsung Galaxy S III owners in U.S. will have to waitl until 2013 to see a Jelly Bean update.

American markets will be the last to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, Samsung spokesman said, Tuesday. While Sprint could be an exception, five of the major wireless carriers of U.S. will have to wait a year to see Jelly Bean update on the Galaxy SIII, the Examiner reported.

The delay will only add to the frustration of U.S. consumers who have been hoping to get the Jelly Bean update since the Galaxy SIII was released five months ago.

There are about 20 million Galaxy SIII users who have been waiting to download the new update, but they will have to be content with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.

For South Korean and Europe the Jelly Bean update has started. The Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini that was unveiled Oct. 11 amd will have Jelly Bean pre-installed.
