The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Descent DLC officially launched on Xbox and PC on Aug. 11, 2016. The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC was particularly known for its dragon content in the new Zombies chapter.

The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Descent DLC first launched on PlayStation 4 in July 2016, writes Game Spot. Xbox One and PC gamers needed to wait longer for the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" expansion to release because of a timed-exclusivity deal between Sony and Activision, announced at E3 2015.

Similar to the PlayStation 4 version, there are four new multiplayer maps, namely Berserk, Rumble, Cryogen and Empire, a remake of Raid, the map from "Black Ops II." The "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" expansion also made waves because it included dragons and giant robots in the new Zombies chapter, in a location called GorodKrovi. The setting is in war-torn Stalingrad after the happenings in Zetsubou No Shima, the Zombies chapter in the previous DLC pack.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is the third of four planned DLC packs in the title. The first two expansions were Awakening and Eclipse. The title of the fourth DLC pack has yet to be revealed. All the four packs, however, will be released before the big launch of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." At present, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" currently costs $15 on Xbox One, although players can also opt to buy the season pass, which includes the DLC pack, for $50.

GottaBeMobile wrote that the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Descent map pack has a file size of 7.6GB on the PlayStation 4, so the Xbox One and PC versions will most likely be anywhere between 6GB and 8GB. It is still unclear whether there is a pre-load option available for the Xbox One and PC set.

In the meantime, Infinity Ward is preparing for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," scheduled to release in November 2016. Activision is also working on a remastered version of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare." More updates and details on "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" are expected soon.
