Grand Theft Auto V News: Rockstar Wants Multiplayer Suggestions

Rockstar is looking for fan input to help in developing the multiplayer section of the company's upcoming Grand Theft Auto V.

In a new blog entry on the Rockstar blog, the game publisher said that it would like to implement a Crew system that is similar to the one found in Rockstar's Max Payne 3.

Rockstar's new post reads:

"As we're busy working on Grand Theft Auto V, we'd like to take this opportunity to ask all of you for your feedback, input and ideas for features you'd like to see created for Crews in the game.

Whether it's suggestions for competitive in-game Crew features in Multiplayer, new ways to manage and recruit, ideas for enhancing Social Club Crew pages and leaderboards, things you did and didn't like about Crews in Max Payne 3, or any thoughts at all related to Crews really that you'd like to share - we're all ears.

We'd especially love to hear from current Crew members and leaders so that we can continue making our unique approach to persistent team based Multiplayer as fun as it can be in GTA V."

Max Payne 3's crew system allows players to form private crews with friends or join public crews and the completion of tasks as a crew gains experience points for the player. Player can even engage in feuds with rival crews.

The feature is part of a new feature in Rockstar games called the Social Club. Earlier this year, Studio co-founder Dan Houser told IGN that the new Social Club is part of a strategy to innovate multiplayer across all of Rockstar's titles.

"Multiplayer is an ever-more important part of all our games moving forward," Houser told IGN. "And by creating crews through Social Club, the crews that you create in Max Payne 3 will be ready and available for you to play in Grand Theft Auto V from day one. It's all part of our larger approach to make multiplayer deeper and richer than what's currently available, much more easily accessible to the newcomer and rewarding for the hardcore."

The game still does not have a release date, but some retailer do have a holding date for the game. There is also an unconfirmed rumor that the game will be released in March 2013.
