'Batman: The Telltale Series' Episode 1 Latest News, Release Date & Update: Issues Occurring Even on Xbox One & PlayStation 4

Telltale Games needs to work overtime. With the recent release of "Batman: The Telltale Series" Episode 1, fans expected an exciting graphic adventure game, but got an odd, issue-laden one instead. Initial feedback from gamers indicated that there were issues to be resolved in the PC version of the game, but it seems now that the same can be said for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.

Gamerant reports that Telltale Games has already released a patch for the game to address the off-sync sound, low frame rates, and immovable cursors in boxes on-screen. However, some gamers are still complaining that the patch hasn't addressed most of the issues, including the defective controller inputs, lag, and the game refusing to load altogether. The studio promised to keep monitoring performance reports of "Batman: The Telltale Series," but it seems that there's more problems to address.

The recently-released game is reportedly experiencing trouble on the XBox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. For one, the resolution is only 720p for Microsoft's Xbox and 900p on Sony's PS4, the lowest resolution for PS4 to date. Digital Foundry cited the "lack of effective anti-aliasing" on PS4 as the reason why there are "jagged and aliased to a degree we do not often see on consoles."

In addition, "Batman: The Telltale Series" is said to have a very low frame per second (FPS) count, going as low as 60 or even 15. Eurogamer says that the disappointingly low frame rate results to a "choppy experience" in playing the game, despite it not being a "game-breaker." It is, of course, still vital to the quality of the game given that "presentation is key," which is why Telltale Games needs to address this asap.

Telltale Games is expected to be working on another update for "Batman: The Telltale Series" given the many issues being reported by players. Fans will have to check back on the latest releases for the game, which is now available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
