Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date, Latest News & Update: Leaked Features, Specs & Competition!

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is pumped up with awesome features according to latest updates. The laptop is set to sport a 4K Ultra HD panel screen, although rumors had it that it will just be offered as an upgrade. The original kit might be available plainly in 2K screen. A powerful display will an exciting upgrade from Surface Pro 4's maximum pixel resolution of 2,736x1,824.

Intel's 7th generation Kaby Lake processors are assumed to power up the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 5. They are thought to be more efficient than the existing Skylake. Kaby Lake, which will come in as 14nm microarchitecture, will do good to the performance and efficiency of the battery life of the device.

While it is electrifying to know about these new processors, it is quite unfortunate to note that Intel will not start mass production of Kaby Lake until the end of 2016. This suggests that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will not be available for release this year or even on the first part of 2017.

Other important update for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is the second-generation USB 3.1 ports which will come in handy for most of the users. Some additional features include the Surface All-in-One, sporting three different screen sizes: 21 inches (1080p), 24 inches (4K) and the 27 inches (4K).

Microsoft is not the only company prepping up for a release of their laptop, Microsoft Surface Pro 5. Apple might also let the cat out of the bag for the features of their MacBook Pro 2016. It is said to have TouchID sensor and OLED mini screen.

It is exciting to know who will get the upper hand in the world of innovation. The giant tech company is said to also release update not only for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 but also for Surface Phone, Xbox One and the rumored Surface All-in-One.
