Marvel Studios' released the first teaser footage of the upcoming "Iron Man 3" movie ahead of its full trailer release on Tuesday.
The trailer teaser was revealed in the official "Iron Man" Facebook page. Marvel is undertaking a Facebook campaign that gives Iron Man fans a viral game to "re-energize Tony's Arc reactor". It allows fans a peek into the trailer teaser.
The Facebook message reads:
"Tony Stark IS Iron Man! To re-energize Tony's Arc reactor, "Like" the official Iron Man Facebook page. Every "Like" recharges Tony's power supply. Once the Arc reactor reaches maximum capacity, you'll be the first to see a special sneak preview of Marvel's Iron Man 3!"
The footage is only 17 seconds long, showing us a few glimpses of the movie - Tony Stark mobbed by reporters, his new body armor, Pepper in trouble. You also get to see a glimpse of Sir Ben Kingsley donning the role of the villain Mandarin.
Last week, Marvel Studios released the official synopsis of the movie. Stark's personal world has been destroyed by his enemy and he undertakes a journey to find the culprits behind it. He uncovers a new side of himself through this journey and unravels answers to questions that have haunted him - does the man make the suit or the suit make the man?
The movie will be a continuation of the hugely popular "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2." Robert Downey Jr. reprises the role of Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow will play Virginia "Pepper" Potts and Kingsley will star as bad guy The Mandarin.
"Iron Man 3" releases to theatres May 3, 2013.
