Movie News Guide reports that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will no longer be following the storyline of its manga version. Previous reports have claimed that writers of the series had a hard time writing the plot of the upcoming installment.
Sources have claimed that Kodansha has considered including "Clash of the Titans" and the "Uprising Arcs" chapters in "Attack on Titan" Season 2. However, it seems like the forthcoming installment will be having its own plot and its own set of characters.
In other words, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is not going to be a sequel. As a matter of fact, there is also a huge possibility that new characters will be leading the show.
Reports say that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is now in the works. Fans should expect more twists and turns in the upcoming installment.
