'WhatsApp' Now Available on the FreedomPop SIM

The latest on the WhatsApp update has not been about its system updating, but rather the popular messaging apps' upcoming presence in the FreedomPop network. WhatsApp updates have been mostly about its stability on the Android and iOS devices, but now, it looks like it has jumped on another platform that sees immense future.

Have you heard about the FreedomPop lately? If you're an avid caller to family and friends, but still observe the ways you can save money; then this one might interest you. Also, Freedom Pop is capable of giving you the unlimited WhatsApp without the worries of paying for your data or going over your data limit.

Based in Los Angeles, California, FreedomPop provides free mobile services including unlimited data to consumers. In return, consumers will buy the devices and handsets from the company as their platform in using the FreedomPop SIM. Founded by Steven Stokols and Steven Sesar, the company utilizes Sprint's network in the United States and plans to expand in the UK soon.

Currently, the FreedomPop SIM that features unlimited WhatsApp usage has already expanded to more than 25 countries. EndGadget reports that, the company has indeed addressed the issue of paying for voice and text messages saying, it's really not necessary in this modern era.

Also, the trend of giving away free calls and text messages is not new to carriers, like that of Brazil's Nextel. Nextel Brazil has also joined the WhatsApp craze, offering their consumers with unlimited WhatsApp on their mobile services. FreedomPop is financed by Intel, DCM Capital, Atomico and Mangrove Capital and has recently raised $109 million in financing during the early part of 2016.
