‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: Account Termination Notifications Start

Given the time that players have invested on “Pokemon Go”, there are many who have achieved a high level right now. But the question now is whether all that was done fairly or illegally.

In a previous report here on Game & Guide, it was revealed how Niantic will stop playing nice. That means that they are nearing the point of employing account bans, something targeted at erring players.

Knowing however that Niantic has its plate full with plenty of bugs and glitches to address, “Pokemon Go” players have ignored the threat. But latest revelations from players via Reddit could push them to reconsider their stance.

Niantic starts issuing ban notifications

A sample of these Niantic ban notifications sent to “Pokemon Go” players have already come out and one was shown by Reddit user zslayer89. In the notification, using third party apps was stressed and grounds for account termination.

The thing here is that Niantic is not exactly being unreasonable. In fact, there is a link to a form for “Pokemon Go” users whose accounts may have been terminated erroneously.

Hence, affected "Pokemon Go" players can appeal in case they were wrongly accused. The problem is that it may take some time, meaning gamers will have to wait until Niantic is able to straighten things out.

The move is expected though it may not be a perfect way to weed out the cheaters from the fair-playing “Pokemon Go” players. It remains to be seen how Niantic is able to classify the ‘cheat’ accounts though the ones with the higher XPs may be the first to be scrutinized.

The thing here is that for players who have used third party app cheats, the time to stop may be now. Rather than risk losing their “Pokemon Go” account, Niantic is now really cracking the whip to pin down terms of service violators.
