Fans now have the reason to celebrate as "Outlander" Season 3 will come on their way as its first day of filming already commenced on Sunday. In fact, Sam Heughan and the drama series' executive producer Maril Davis update their followers with a series of tweets.
'Outlander' Season 3 First Day Of Shooting
It looks like fans are now preparing themselves to receive details and information about the coming "Outlander" Season 3. In the recent reports, it was continuously teased that Sam Heughan will have a new look and will get a little older and fatter. With that, the 36-year-old star teased his fresh appearance with a photo of the "Austin Powers" character, Fat Bastard.
Later, Sam Heughan told his Twitter followers that the first day of filming of "Outlander" Season 3 was already done. He even used the hashtag "good to be back" expressing his happiness to do the British-American drama series once again. Maril Davis, on the other hand, gave a glimpse of a familiar setting when he shared a snap of his boots full of mud while standing on a rocky and a grubby land, as per CarterMatt.
Two New Additional Characters
Meanwhile, aside from Lord John Grey, there will be two additional characters going to grace "Outlander" Season 3. Vine Report noted that Jamie (Sam Heughan) is about to meet a new role named Yi Tien Cho on the harbor of Edinburgh. Jamie will call him Mr. Willoughby, a stowaway who will join him and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) on their voyage in the Caribbean.
The other character who will join "Outlander" Season 3 will be the 15-year-old daughter of MacKenzie, named Marsali. Just like Mr. Willoughby, Marsali will join Jamie and Claire on their expedition, although it is not yet revealed what will be their exact roles are. Starz has yet to announce the official air date of "Outlander" Season 3, though it is believed to be in 2017.
