Many are surprise to see the return of "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 thinking that it will be canceled after the death of Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie). However, Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) is now all back with a new witness to help him continue the show's story.
The Last Minute Possibility Of 'Sleepy Hollow' Season 4's Coming
With the death of Abbie in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 finale, fans of the supernatural drama thought that it was the end of the series. However, Fox Entertainment President David Madden explained that the show's writers proposed the addition of new characters in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 and the new adventures Ichabod Crane has to face.
"And the first seven scripts are really fun. We think there are a lot of good new stories to tell," David Madden added, as per Cinema Blend. He also elaborated that the writers' pitch came in the very last minute that made "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 survived. The TV series is set to have a reboot as the new coming episodes will be quite different compared to its predecessors.
New Witness, Villains & Additional Characters
Meanwhile, Ichabod Crane now has a new witness, named Diana -- played by Janina Gavankar, Entertainment Weekly reported. It looks like the two are now bearing a great responsibility to make "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 continue its journey. However, along with them is the coming of new characters added by the showrunners to entice viewers to watch more. Jake Wells (Jerry MacKinnon) and Alex Norwood (Rachel Melvin) are also set to join the captain in his new adventures.
In "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4, Ichabod Crane is going to take his battle to Washington D.C. Here, he will try his best to save the world against the new and the long-standing baddies. In fact, it has been said that the Headless Horseman is set to be back as the classic villain. "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 will return in the middle of 2017 on FOX.
