Grand Theft Auto V Release Date: Rockstar Releases new GTA 5 Trailer (Watch It Here)

Ealier this week, we learned that Grand Theft Auto V would have three main protagonists and that players can switch characters during the off time between each mission.

Today Rockstar has unveiled the new game's second trailer that features all three of the new characters and gives a slight look into their individual backgrounds. Each character is spotlighted for a few moments and we get to see a little bit of their personal lives.

We finally meet the maniacal Trevor and see his violent temper in action as he blows up houses and bashes heads. While, Franklin seems to the more standard Grand Theft Auto protagonist. Michael from the original trailer is also back and this time we get to see his "wannabe gangster" son. From the trailer's dialogue we can tell that Michael is disappointed in his child and takes Franklin as his surrogate son.

The new footage also includes some new information about the game by showing fighter planes; trains, motorbikes, boats, helicopters and some rather detailed canines running a muck during the spectacular action scenes.

The trailer was originally suppose to release earlier this month, but was pushed back due to Hurricane Sandy knocking out the power at Rockstar's New York City offices.

"We are working on a second trailer - unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon. It's hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office. We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay," Rockstar posted on its newswire last month.

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V will release worldwide in the spring of 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.There is still no word on PC or Wii U editions of the game.
