Hitman: Absolution, the new stealth game developed by IO Interactive is less than a week away from its Tuesday Nov. 20 release date. The new game will see the return of Agent 47 as he battles against the people he once trusted.
The game is said to be less difficult for newcomers to the franchise, but that will also retain its hardcore aspects. In an interview with Digital Trends, director Tore Blystad explained that Hitman: Absolution will be aimed at a wider audience, but it will still retain a very "strong, hardcore side."
"The Hitman games of the past have been very hardcore," Blystad told Digital Trends. "Even though the fantasy of the Hitman universe has a very universal appeal, the games have been so difficult to play, that it's been more of an acquired taste. The biggest challenge that we had with this game was to make it much broader in every sense, so that it was easier to play and more accessible, but still retain a very strong, hardcore side as well. We don't want to alienate any of our fans who have been extremely loyal for so many years."
With the game's release date approaching it seems like the perfect time to compile Absolution's top five trailers for those who have missed the videos and for those who can't wait to return to Agent 47's world.
Here are the top five trailers fro the new game:
5. "ICA File Agent 47" trailer: The video features art work from comic artist Ben Oliver and gives some in-depth background information on Agent 47.
4. "Tools of the Trade" trailer: The video showcases the weapons Agent 47 has at his disposal including stainless steel 45's, the fiber-wire, screwdrivers, sniper-rifles and even a plunger.
3."Living Breathing World" trailer: The video depicts how the non playable characters live a synthetic life. The have jobs, relationships and daily activies that they go about.
2. "All Saints" trailer: The trailer that sparked a whole lot of controversy. The video depicts S&M clad assassin nuns in a violent brawl with Agent 47. The video caused the game designers to tweak the level that features the nuns and add context to their characters.
1. "Ultimate Assassin" trailer: The number one trailer for the new game show cases why Agent 47 is the best at what he does. It also showcases his new 'Instinct' ability and Agent 47's disguises.
