"Stranger Things" Season 2 is finally confirmed through a teaser officially released by Netflix. Although the 56-second trailer does not show any scenes from the second season, it lays out significant words or snippets which are highly suspected as episode titles.
Hopefully, "Stranger Things" Season 2 might be returning with all the cast from Season 1. There will also be four new characters joining "Stranger Things," but there's no word yet on whether they will be protagonists or villains. With all the burning questions Season 1 created, we can be sure that the newbies will hold some answers.
According to the Duffer brothers, there won't necessarily be a time jump (although they have considered it) because there are still a lot of unresolved issues. Putting a time jump on "Stranger Things" Season 2 will pile the questions one after the other and might confuse viewers. Basically, "Stranger Things" Season 2 will get busy in resolving the leftover issues in the premier season.
Ross Duffer, however, teased the fans by giving an ambiguous answer on whether Eleven will be back in Season 2. But fans are largely betting that Eleven will be back because he would play a pivotal role in "Stranger Things" Season 2. As mentioned earlier, one of the snippets flashed in the newly released "Stranger Things" Season 2 trailer were the words "The Lost Brother." Perhaps this could be the introduction of a new character?
There are some apprehensions on whether "Stranger Things" Season 2 can compete or keep up with the success of the first season. Well, the Duffer brothers are confident enough that the second season will also be a success because they are taking cues from James Cameron. The well-known director is known to add novelty and newness to a sequel without compromising the originality.
As of now, there is still no specific air date for "Stranger Things" Season 2 but it is expected to be released by 2017. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Stranger Things" Season 2 news and updates!
