'The Blacklist' Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: New Trailer Revealed! Was Red Inside The House When The Fire Happened?

Elizabeth Keen's (Megan Boone) search for her father continues, as seen in the new trailer of "The Blacklist" Season 4. The character of the 33-year-old star will face Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) to know the truth about her real identity and her long-lost dad.

'The Blacklist' Season 4 Teaser

The newly-dropped teaser of "The Blacklist" Season 4 opened with the fire scene where Elizabeth and her father had been apart. Red (James Spader) told the FBI asset that her dad is already gone and didn't manage to survive the fire. She, then, asked him if he was there at the time of the incident, thus he admitted that he had seen everything that happened.

The next sequence showed the bare back of Red, revealing his burn scars from the night of the fire. This only hinted that he was inside the house with Liz and her father when it was under the blaze. This, too, might suggest that her dad may be another man and not really Kirk. "Alexander Kirk is fundamentally dishonest," Red told Liz in "The Blacklist" Season 4, as per International Business Times.

Evidently, Red's revelations make Elizabeth more confused that leads her to doubt him and Kirk's honesty. She, then, promised him that he will find his father and will soon learn the truth in "The Blacklist" Season 4. "I'm sure you will, Lizzie," Red assured her.

Elizabeth Should Believe Kirk?

Meanwhile, the series creator, Jon Bokenkamp, talked about Kirk's claims and why fans should believe him in "The Blacklist" Season 4. In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, the American writer explained that he, too, is confused as to why people won't believe Kirk's statement. Red already confessed that he is not Elizabeth's father and Kirk suddenly comes into her life to tell the truth.

Jon Bokenkamp added that Elizabeth only thought she shot her father, which left a number of answered questions about the two. These will be all tackled in the coming "The Blacklist" Season 4 returning on Sept. 22 on NBC.
