Not all villains need to be new characters; such is the case in "Jessica Jones" Season 2 where Nuke might just be the next bad guy. Though there will be many adversaries for Jessica Jones, portrayed by Krysten Ritter, Will "Nuke" Simpson, will be a force to reckon with.
Nuke, portrayed by "Jessica Jones" Season 2 star Will Traval, was actually one of the good guys in the first season. Or so we thought. Well, he sided with Jessica Jones' team against Kilgrave, portrayed by David Tennant, but later, he decided to tackle in his own way. He was responsible of all the deaths of those who knew about the abilities of Kilgrave to control minds.
Nuke has super alert senses due to the adrenaline pills given to him being a part of the super soldier program. The side effects of the over dose made him mentally unstable. The program was supposed to be a secret but Trish Walker, portrayed by Rachael Taylor, has started her queries even before "Jessica Jones" Season 2 began.
Now since Nuke might just be the next bad guy, "Jessica Jones" Season 2 might dwell a lot digging into Nuke's history. Our title holder will find herself in a war against the super soldiers.
Melissa Rosenberg revealed, in an interview with IGN, the villain in "Jessica Jones" Season 2 will be far from Kilgrave or anything like him. The last thing that the show runners would do is to re-create a similar character.
Rosenberg is happy that she can sit down and talk with Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie, the show runners of "Defenders." As we all know, the three television series "The Defenders," "Luke Care," and "Iron Fist" will have to be air first before the "Jessica Jones" Season 2 can hit the air on 2018.
